Before you come, it can help to take a moment to picture what you’re stepping into. Imagine walking through the door, saying hi, and giving yourself permission to feel a bit nervous — most people do. You can even rehearse it in your head if that makes things easier.
And while you’re at it, think about the things you want more of in your life. Maybe it’s holidays with your mates, laughing about Ryanair toilets, skiing in the Dolomites, or meeting people who genuinely get you. Whatever your version of “big dreams” looks like, hold onto it. New connections often open new doors.
When you arrive, nothing dramatic has to happen. You just show up — and that’s the moment things start to shift. Not overnight, not magically, but steadily, through real people and real experiences.
You’re invited to come and build something better for yourself, at your own pace.
And if you decide to volunteer, I’m more than happy to support you with a reference that reflects your commitment and helps your CV stand out
