Social Care Impact Award for Excellence – July 2025, Westminster.

Anne was honoured with this prestigious award in recognition of her transformative work combating loneliness and social exclusion across Dorset. By connecting isolated individuals with compassionate local volunteers and creating welcoming spaces in cafés, pubs, and care homes for a simple chat over a cuppa, Anne has sparked a movement that’s touched countless lives. Her innovative, community-led approach has made such a profound impact on the Social Care System that national support is now being offered to help her and her volunteers expand this life-changing initiative.

For most guests they say, 'It's a lifeline.'

On 14/7/2025 - Anne was flabberghasted to not only meet the High Sherif of Dorset, Callum Bremner but to receive The High Sheriff of Dorset's Award in recognition of great and valuable services to the community (and it came in a frame!).

Thank you so much from all us volunteers.
