Mental Wellness - Intro - REDEFINING STEREOTYPES/STIGMAS AROUND LONELINESS/MENTAL HEALTH/
SUICIDOLOGY.
Loneliness/Isolation/self judgement/suicidology need to be every day conversations today, WHETHER SPOKEN OR THOUGHT. Having these conversations changes lives and are nothing to be ashamed of.
Wouldn't it be great if there was no old fashioned stigma, and these chats are normalised and lives changed far and wide.
When I began outreaching for loneliness victims in 2022 and talking about loneliness/recovery openly, it really rattled the minds and bones of loneliness victims. Not only that, the advertising of the word loneliness, had to be destigmatised and brought into the 21st Century.
If you look at our loneliness recovery Chitter Chatter Club photos, nearly everyone in that moment, is happy and engaging, just like fish in a shoal. These friendly safe clubs provide a safe environment to share inner thoughts with one another, in a safe unjudgemental atmosphere and get support. Ok, some guests may go home to loneliness but holistically they learn to take control over their anxiety, thinking/negative self talk and build resilience by returning and connecting through our free monthly newsletter. What they thought was impossible has become possible - that is changing their thinking is changing their futures, improving their physical/mental wellbeing, confidence, voice, as people need people. In our clubs there are no lectures/books or homework involved. Everyone holistically heals together.
Why?
Birds need birds to keep safe in a flock. Fish need fish, because if they come out and swim alone - they are eaten alive. People need people. We are tribal. Man will be eaten up by scams/sharks when alone, but together (in a safe place) we can bond and build transformational relationships, as opposed to what culture is teaching us - that we have to be only in transactional relationship - or you are better off alone.
In CCCs, like this page, we are giving guests the opportunity to be signposted to other support services who can help, we have guest speakers too, on mindfulness - this helps eliminate anxiety, cancer prevention - 12 lives have been saved so far. So whilst enjoying a weekly cuppa kindness and forging new friendships, our guests are also building new splinter groups, like theatre trips, holidays together, attending medical appointments together, car boots, knit and knatters, weddings etc, you name it, we've had them all these past 4 years.

Today I am really worried and want to speak out about helping young people 18+ with destigmatising the stereotype of suicidology and to not be afraid to talk about the depths of feelings they are experiencing. We are still in a loneliness epidemic and today there are lots of connecting groups everywhere.
(1) World Health Organisation report on Loneliness-(https://www.who.int/news-room/commentaries/detail/loneliness-and-isolation-the-hidden-threat-to-global-health-we-can-no-longer-ignore)
Like loneliness, the stigma of suicidology takes over minds, souls and bodies. It will make us so ill mentally and physically, we come to the end of ourselves.
2 Suicide - https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/suicide
It's time for victims to take back their power over negative thinking and accept their worth.
You matter.
You count.
This world will not be a better place if you take your life.
(Trust me, I struggled as a child up to age 35- it was excrutiating being triggered every day and night)
It is not an escape route out of the overwhelmingness of these 1000s of feelings that erupt in us when we don't need it. Suicidology takes over 1 in 4 minds in a lifetime. Suicide will devastate at least 133 lives around you.
You don't have to act on your thoughts because if you change your thoughts, you can change your thinking.
If you connect with anyone who is trustworthy, and that is why Unpixels is outreaching to you.
Inviting you to come to club and physically change your outer world.
Now grant yourself the courage to give yourself a second chance at this life and I promise while the outside changes, and you are doing some art, playing cards, sitting in company reading a book, acting in a silly drama, your inside body and thoughts will change too.
