You're Invited! LTCCCC's Picnic & Riverside Stroll

Join LTCCCC for a relaxing Saturday afternoon in Wareham!

We'll be meeting at Wareham Quayside by The Granary Pub with our picnics.

  • For those with mobility challenges: You're welcome to spend the afternoon inside The Granary Pub where food and drinks will be available for purchase.

  • For the more able-bodied: Bring a seat or blanket! We'll likely enjoy our picnics on the benches just over the bridge, before taking a pleasant walk down the riverside, past Priory Church, and through the Priory Hotel gardens.

Please Note: LTCCCC invites you to this event, but participants are responsible for their own health, mobility, and any risks taken during the day. A first aid box will be present.

When: A Saturday afternoon 26/7/2025 1pm

Where: Wareham Quayside by The Granary Pub

We can't wait to see you there!

With the Chitter Chatter Clubs, we are a group of friendly, welcoming volunteers, who work selflessly, giving time and love to help you overcome loneliness. This is good for yours and our mental health, it gives us all a purpose in life and helps us all build new friendship groups.

We need financial help so if you can pop a £1 in our donation pot, we will be eternally grateful to keep this Couch To Cafe loneliness recovery programme going.

We enjoy unashamed loneliness together on Nature Walks, in Chitter Chatter groups and we always have a giggle and crazy selfies.

And the winner of the Social Care Impact of Excellence Award goes to Anne Anderson -
founder of Loneliness Together Chitter Chatter Clubs and Brew Crews for the
phenominal effects and impact LTCCC is having on the UK Social Care System.
'We want to Co-produce with you Anne.'

''Thank you, Today I have the team to make the dream, now I need your help to open council doors across the UK to get every lonely person out of the house and into connection.I have written this book, 'OUR JOURNEYS THROUGH LONELINESS' which I show you today, not to plug the book but to tell you, how inspired I have been by our guest's recovery, I just had to write it and show you it today. There is so much hope out of there, we just need to steer people towards it and connection. Loneliness is a deep darkness, so dark it takes over our lives. This can be changed with one big gulp of courage.'

A harmonious giggle.

OUR MISSION  is to end loneliness by providing safe, friendly places where people can come and be social. By assuring a warm welcome to all, the chance to build new  friendships, be involved in informal community support and improve physical and mental health we aim to reduce the impact loneliness has not only on the individual but on those services that they come to rely on.

We will do this by reaching out to intervene at the earliest stages in the lives of those suffering from loneliness through mass media invitations/health and wellbeing practitioners. Inviting guests to sign up for our Free Monthly Empowering Loneliness Recovery Newsletter and attend a CCC in their local area when they are able. Our aim is to establish more CCCC's across Dorset to build individuals' confidence , empower people and promote better mental health and social mobility. This opportunity provides access to making new friends at Free chat tables and through Free monthly nature walks, creating splinter groups, addressing loneliness beyond CCC's timetable and building stronger, friendlier and more resilient communities.
